Oppenheim Residence

East Hampton, New York

A residential addition for the American artist Dennis Oppenheim, formulated upon the playful creation of vistas, from inside out, and outside in.

The addition includes a private gallery, a bedroom, a sunken courtyard, and an extended pool, with encapsulated trees.

Our design transforms basic shed roof geometry into twisting volumes. Inspired by Oppenheim's art, the building in turn inspired Oppenheim to create art.
