Ruth Duckworth Retrospective
Museum of Art and Design
2005: New York, New York
'Ruth Duckworth, Modernist Sculptor' was the first comprehensive retrospective for the artist, known for her works in ceramics, bronze, and stone. The exhibition featured 80 works spanning her career, including freestanding sculpture and vessels from her early years in Britain and mid to late career works produced in the U.S. Many pieces came from the artist's private collection, along with stone carvings and maquettes never exhibited before. In addition, the exhibition incorporated photographs of Duckworth's large scale architectural murals, site specific sculptures, and a video documenting her life.
