Toledo Museum of Art Glass Pavilion

Opened 2006

Toledo, Ohio

Designed to complement the new Toledo Museum of Art Glass Pavilion, designed by SANAA of Tokyo, Imrey Culbert’s casework, display systems, and study storage designs show a sensitivity to both the delicate art objects, and the soft, round spaces of the galleries. The Center for Glass at The Toledo Museum of Art is an annex to the main museum, containing an extensive glass art collection and glass making facilities. Built almost exclusively of glass, the transparent walls are shaped to gently separate and fluidly connect the museum’s spaces.
