The Pierpont Morgan Library & Museum

Opened 2006

New York, New York

Imrey Culbert developed permanent casework, and the opening installations in the galleries for the new major expansion by Renzo Piano, and the three historic buildings. Both a museum and a research center, the Morgan requires the ability to display a variety of artifacts: from a velum Gutenberg Bible to Quartz Coptic seals to Bob Dylan music manuscripts. The galleries and casework share a common design language with the casework of the new Piano galleries, including a first floor gallery and naturally lit “Cube- Gallery” for temporary exhibits.
